The monthly Sea to Sky Intergroup meeting was held on Saturday, January 28th. Here are a few highlights –
The February Newsletter is now available and contains news, information and upcoming events to watch for. Feel free to print extra copies for your meeting or share by e-mail. Information and articles for the newsletter are always welcome and can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The February Meeting Directory is now available to help you find meetings throughout the month. If you have changes/edits to the meeting directory, send an e-mail to email@example.com.
OA suggests that every intergroup and group periodically take an inventory of itself. Our Sea to Sky Intergroup recently completed such an inventory. One of the strong conclusions was that Intergroup would like to increase its level of service to member groups. As a first step in doing this, we need to know what each of you think.
We are conducting a 20-question member survey to gather: 1) information about the overall health of OA in the area; 2) your ideas on things that might strengthen your individual recovery; 3) your ideas on things that might help carry the message to more people; and 4) information that could help OA stay vital and growing in our area. Please fill out the survey before February 15th and share your thoughts and ideas.
As the next step, please join us for the Intergroup Renewal workshop on Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 1:30 to 4.30 pm at the Unifor Building, 326 12th Street, New Westminster (between 3rd and 4th Avenue). This workshop will be facilitated by OA Region One.
Struggling with a relapse? The Twelfth Step Within Committee is pleased to announce a new Board-approved video resource for members in relapse and those giving Twelfth Step Within service. Free to download or stream, Breaking Out of Relapse can help isolating members and others in relapse return to their program and their abstinence.
The Thursday Night Recovery Club meeting in Vancouver has now closed. Looking for a Thursday night meeting? Join us in North Vancouver at the Alano Club (2nd and St. Georges, one block off Lonsdale) at 7.30 pm.
We are looking for members to take service positions at Intergroup. The time commitment is three to four hours a month. If you are interested in being of service, please contact Carlos by e-mail or at 604.671.5917.
The next Intergroup meeting will be Saturday, February 25th from 10am to 12pm at Unity in Action Church (1630 Edinburgh Street) in New Westminster. Just a reminder that all members are welcome at Intergroup meetings.
